Current Tachograph Card Fees

Following on from the introduction of digital tachographs in August 2005, the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) became the card issuing authority for the UK.

The fees were decided on following consultation with transport operators and the industry:


Digital Tachograph Cards

There are 4 cards (collectively known as ‘tachograph cards’) that are used by the digital tachograph system.



The cards are plastic, similar in size to a photo driving licence / credit card, with a microchip in it.
